Data - Senior Data DevOps Engineer at Betsson Group

Betsson is seeking a Senior Data DevOps Engineer to join its Data team in Malta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, operating, and monitoring the company's Data Platform, which is hosted on AWS. This role offers the opportunity to build and automate processes and manage the CI/CD environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring, administering, and deploying data workflows and systems.
• Proactively handling incidents and ensuring timely solutions.
• Performing on-call duties.
• Managing a data platform hosted on AWS.
• Managing application deployments and configuration.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Automating and building monitoring, logging, and deployment tools.
• Recognizing data quality issues in batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Ensuring the availability and performance of systems and databases.
• Providing solutions to improve bottlenecks and common database issues.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Docker and Linux.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Scripting skills in either PowerShell or Unix Scripting.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, or CloudWatch.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Development experience in Microsoft, Linux, or cloud environments.
• Experience orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow.
• Knowledge of AWS Services like S3/Lambda/API Gateways/DMS/RDS.
• At least 2 years of experience in Data DevOps Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Good learning mindset.
• Ability to set priorities and multitask.
