Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Director of Multimedia to lead the strategic and creative vision for its multimedia department. This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY, requiring in-office presence two days a week. The Director will oversee a team of video producers, editors, animators, and podcast creators, shaping the ACLU’s multimedia narratives across visual, audio, and digital storytelling.This role involves:
- Leading the creative direction for all multimedia projects.
- Managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team.
- Overseeing the entire multimedia production process.
- Collaborating across the Marketing & Communications team.
- Overseeing and managing the Data Asset Management (DAM).
The ideal candidate will bring:

- Expertise in the full production pipeline.
- Deep understanding of audience engagement strategies.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proficiency in video and audio production and Adobe Creative Suite.
