Senior Backend Software Engineer - Workplace Products

Job Description

Verkada is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Workplace Products team. This role involves working within a dynamic, high-growth environment to develop and launch products and features utilized by customers globally. The engineer will have ownership of projects, working across the full software stack and collaborating cross-functionally to build the latest iterations of Verkada’s flagship software.Role involves:

• Architecting scalable systems and designing latency-sensitive applications.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to design complex systems with robust backend APIs.
• Owning backend systems end-to-end.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of industry backend software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company.
• Experience driving technical direction and leading teams on project execution.
• Deep expertise with relational databases (Postgres experience a plus).
• Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang.
• Experience with Kubernetes a plus.
