Job Description
West Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Administrative Specialist to support clinic physicians. This role involves managing clerical functions, basic clinical tasks, scheduling, credentialing, and other operational duties. The Senior Administrative Specialist will operate under the guidance of the Administrative Assistant Supervisor, ensuring alignment with the center’s mission and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency.
Role involves:
- Setting up telehealth and remote appointments for patients
- Assisting with patient forms, tumor board submissions, and printing of patient notes
- Managing daily scheduling for assigned physicians
- Scheduling meetings, creating travel itineraries, and coordinating trip logistics
- Facilitating physician credentialing and re-credentialing with Credentialing Coordinator
- Tracking continuing medical education (CME) credits and physician PTO
- Maintaining and updating physician CVs
- Supporting academic and professional activities, including article submissions, PowerPoint presentations, and business documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience, or a combination of both equaling 8+ years
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred knowledge of: Onco EMR, Concur Expense Management, MModal, DoxyMe, Evicore, and virtual meeting platforms
