Job Description
GitLab, an open core software company known for its AI-powered DevSecOps platform, is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) fluent in German. This is a fully remote position based in Europe, specifically the UK, Ireland, Germany, or the Netherlands. The BDR will play a crucial role in initiating outreach to targeted Enterprise and Mid-Market accounts, collaborating with Field and Digital Marketing teams, as well as Sales and Customer Success teams.
The BDR will employ creative marketing and sales strategies to engage with various buyer personas, introducing GitLab's value proposition and generating qualified meetings and pipeline for the sales organization. GitLab provides extensive onboarding and training to equip BDRs with the necessary DevOps and GitLab knowledge.
Role Involves:
- Executing outbound prospecting initiatives to new logo accounts.
- Conducting high-level discovery conversations with target accounts.
- Meeting or exceeding BDR sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity (SAO) volume targets.
- Collaborating with teammates to develop targeted lists and messaging.
- Researching accounts, identifying key players, and generating interest.
- Managing and tracking activities and results using Salesforce.
- Participating in documenting processes in the GitLab handbook.
- Attending field marketing events to engage with participants and identify opportunities.
- Mentoring new BDR hires.
- Partnering with the Sales Team to strategically prospect in their territories.
Requirements:
- Experience prospecting new logo accounts.
- Fluent in German.
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
- Ability to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
- Self-starter with a track record of successful achievements.
- Alignment with GitLab's values.
- Knowledge of business processes, roles, and organizational structure.
- Determined personality with a desire to grow and win.

- Proficient in using Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
