Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) - PerfectScale by DoiT (Ukraine)

Job Description

DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering teams, focusing on the PerfectScale platform. This role involves working on core backend solutions, powering the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and developers from other teams, participating in product-making decisions.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver solutions for complex problems.
• Implementing features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices and performing code reviews.
• Improving the health of the codebase and addressing technical debt.
• Providing feedback during planning and discussions to identify challenges early.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python).
• 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
• 2+ years of experience with high traffic / high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance / schema / query optimization (ClickHouse and PostgreSQL are a plus).
• Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD).
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Proactive approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
