Job Description
Critical Mass is seeking a Senior Designer to join their team in Calgary. The Senior Designer will be responsible for developing marketing campaigns and creating design solutions for the client's homepage and other platforms. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new product landing pages for the client's site.Role involves:- Creating original designs that align to project goals and creative direction.
- Collaborating with Art Directors, ACDs, and the project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts.
- Anticipating and solving potential design challenges.
- Preparing for creative reviews by outputting optimized files and presentation materials.
- Guiding ideas to meet creative and business goals within the project scope.
- Presenting persuasively and clearly articulating design rationale.
- Consulting with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within limitations.
- Reviewing final deliverables with an exacting eye.
- Refining design thinking and improving workflows.
- 4-7+ years of experience specializing in visual design for the web, mobile and/or app design.
- High proficiency in the formal elements of design.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace.
- Photoshop expertise.
- Reliable judgment and initiative to collaborate with others.
- Passion for nurturing relationships, mentoring, and rallying teams.
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly.
- Clear communication and presentation skills.
- Prototyping ability.
- Strong understanding of web development, including HTML, CSS, iOS, and other technologies.
- Figma, Photoshop and Sketch expertise.
