Job Description

Rent the Runway is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their team in Galway, Ireland. This role focuses on building world-class eCommerce experiences for a passionate customer base. The engineer will work within an agile environment, developing high-quality, performant software and solving complex problems.

The Software Engineer III will partner with the design team to create user interfaces using React/Next.js, optimizing for performance and scalability. They will also build APIs for manipulating order data and contribute to technical projects in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Build user interfaces (React/Next.js)
  • Optimize for performance and scalability
  • Build APIs for manipulating order data
  • Deprecate and remove functionality & services
  • Drive technical projects to success
  • Contribute technically to projects
  • Assist in prioritization efforts
  • Provide mentorship to others

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with ReactJS and Java/Kotlin
  • Knowledge of best practices, design patterns, and system architecture tradeoffs
  • Experience with distributed system performance analysis and optimization
  • Experience in modern frameworks and design patterns (MVC, REST, Swagger/OpenAPI)
