Senior Data Scientist

MiQ is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their data science department in Bengaluru. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of generalized capabilities and enhancing existing solutions within the company's programmatic media framework. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, independently owning and executing new analytics capabilities, and maintaining continuous communication with Solutions Engineering and Sales Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide actionable recommendations from generated outputs, create narratives for the market, and visualize outputs for stakeholders. They will also drive new initiatives for operational excellence within the team, research new developments in data science, and mentor junior team members. What this role involves:

• Being accountable for end-to-end project delivery.
• Owning and executing new analytics capabilities independently.
• Communicating with Solutions Engineering and Sales Engineering teams.
• Providing recommendations and actionable outcomes from outputs.
• Driving growth of generalized capabilities over MiQ’s data sources.
• Scaling strategic accounts by improving existing solutions.
• Driving new initiatives for operational excellence within the team.
• Researching new developments across data science.

Requirements:

• Experienced coder in Python/R.
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms and applications.
• Experienced in SQL and good hands-on Excel.
• Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Ability to write and productionize data pipelines and ML models in a cloud-based environment.
• Experience with working at scale using (Pyspark/Rspark).
• Strong hands-on experience of applying ML techniques to business problems.
• Good understanding of statistics.
• Good measurement mind frame for measuring impact of ML models.
• 4+ years of experience in applying machine learning, statistical pattern recognition, and data mining algorithms to prediction problems.
• Maintaining code versions and experience working in an agile mode.
• A can-do attitude.
