Job Description

Perplexity AI, experiencing rapid growth since launching its conversational answer engine, seeks a skilled Chromium Engineer to join its Android team. The engineer will be instrumental in developing and expanding Comet, Perplexity's innovative browser for Android.Responsibilities include:

• Developing a performant Chromium-based Android browser.
• Collaborating with product teams to implement novel mobile experiences.
• Working with design teams to create fast and intuitive UI.
• Collaborating with data science and machine learning teams to improve the end-to-end experience.
• Working with infrastructure and QA teams on deployment processes.

Requirements include:

• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in the C++ Chromium codebase, ideally for Android.
• Strong Android fundamentals.
• Passion for building nice UI and creating good UX.
• Understanding of performance management.
• Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team.
• Passion for shipping.
