Director, Professional Services

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Director of Professional Services to lead the strategy and execution of its field infrastructure deployments for Outpost and Lightpost solutions. This role involves owning the end-to-end customer experience, from planning to go-live, and building the operational backbone to scale installations efficiently and compliantly.Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale the Professional Services team.
• Own the full deployment lifecycle.
• Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Customer Success.
• Develop scalable delivery models and best practices.
• Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors.
• Track and improve key metrics.
• Act as a strategic escalation point for field issues.
• Translate field feedback into actionable insights.
• Ensure deployments comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support long-term growth planning.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in professional services, field operations, or deployment leadership.
• 5+ years in a senior management role.
• Proven success scaling complex hardware/software deployments.
• Deep knowledge of permitting processes, site planning, and vendor management.
• Strong operational mindset with a track record of building scalable systems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience working with law enforcement or government agencies is highly preferred.
