Job Description
Opendoor is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a world-class Growth Engineering team. This role is highly visible and impactful, where the Engineering Manager will help shape and execute Opendoor's growth strategy through technical excellence, experimentation, and deep customer understanding. They will support, mentor, and grow a team of talented engineers while building scalable systems that drive growth and engagement across Opendoor’s platform. The Engineering Manager's leadership will set the standard for engineering and operational excellence and foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

- Building and leading a high-performing growth engineering team.
- Setting and maintaining high standards for engineering and operational practices.
- Driving growth outcomes through technical expertise and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and execute impactful growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager.
- 2+ years of management experience leading full-stack consumer-facing engineering teams.
- 2+ years of experience leading Growth Engineering teams to drive top-of-funnel conversion.
- 6+ years of prior experience as a full-stack or frontend-focused engineer.
- Expertise in Javascript/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, NextJS, and Remix.
- Experience running A/B tests with experimentation platforms.
- Experience with backend development (Go, Ruby, Postgres).
- Ability to make data-driven product decisions.
- Experience with analyzing product metrics using analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor reports.
- Deep understanding of software architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
