Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer for Battery Software to contribute to the development of their Battery Management System (BMS). This role involves creating architectures, designing solutions for complex problems, and delivering software for real-time embedded systems. The ideal candidate is results-driven, adaptable, and a quick learner.Lucid Motors balances hard work and innovation through in-person collaboration at their Newark, CA headquarters.Responsibilities:
  • Work in a cross-functional team to advance battery management and energy intelligence features.
  • Write production-quality code for real-time embedded systems using C or other languages.
  • Design, develop, and own mission and safety-critical features like state machines and fault handling.
  • Interface with hardware peripherals and implement serial communication protocols.
  • Verify software using unit tests and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Develop software tools and scripts for software and hardware integration tests.
  • Debug hardware and software issues using debugging tools.
  • Support the Battery Software department with additional duties.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • 3+ years of C and/or Python programming experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with schematics and hardware peripheral interfaces.
  • Experience in multi-core software development for safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with software design and development tools.
