Betsson Group is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join its Mobile Apps Team in Malta. This role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of Betsson Group's mobile applications through thorough manual testing. The QA Engineer will collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and other QA team members to identify issues, document defects, and contribute to the overall improvement of Betsson Group's mobile apps.
What this role involves:
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing of mobile applications on various devices and operating systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Perform regular regression testing to ensure new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Creatively explore the applications to uncover hidden issues, edge cases, and potential usability improvements.
- Clearly document and report defects using established processes.
- Utilize issue tracking systems to manage and monitor defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation.
- Provide input on process improvements, testing methodologies, and quality enhancement strategies.
- Implement and maintain automated test scenarios using mobile test automation framework.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Manual QA Engineer or similar role, with a focus on mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and their respective guidelines and best practices.
- A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodology.
- Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, ClickUp).
- Proficiency with test management tools (TestRail, Xray).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
