Software Engineer II - Backend focused (Viator)

Job Description

Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their fast-growing team in Lisbon. This is a backend-focused full-stack position, with a primary focus on backend development and occasional front-end projects. Viator's web stack includes Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, and runs on AWS. While experience with the entire stack is not required, a willingness to learn is essential.

The role involves:

• Working on a variety of technical challenges.
• Collaborating with product managers and designers.
• Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Releasing code to production frequently.

Requirements:

• Experience with a statically typed, object-oriented language such as Java, C# or C++.
