Betsson Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Senior QA Engineer to join their Mobile Apps Team in Malta. In this role, the candidate will ensure the quality and functionality of Betsson Group's mobile applications through manual and automation testing, collaborating with product managers, developers, designers, and other QA team members to identify issues, document defects, and contribute to the overall improvement of mobile apps.

What the role involves:

  • Conduct comprehensive manual testing of mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Perform regular regression testing.
  • Creatively explore the applications to uncover hidden issues.
  • Document and report defects clearly.
  • Utilize issue tracking systems to manage and monitor defects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation.
  • Provide input on process improvements.
  • Implement and maintain automated test scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, primarily focusing on mobile applications.
  • Experience with Mobile application release processes.
  • Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and their respective guidelines and best practices.
  • In-depth experience with mobile test automation frameworks, such as Appium.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, especially Java is a plus.
  • Experience with REST API and understanding of how applications communicate with the server.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and related tools, such as Git and Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology.
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, ClickUp).
  • Proficiency with test management tools (TestRail, Xray).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
