Betsson Group is seeking a skilled and passionate Tech Lead to join their Player Account Management (PAM) team. In this hands-on role, the Tech Lead will drive technical excellence and support the managers in building world-class engineering teams. The Tech Lead will be responsible for facilitating technical design, decisions, troubleshooting, and delivery. This role offers the opportunity to research new technologies, lead technical investigations, and develop POCs, while working within a hybrid work environment.
What this role involves:
- Championing technical improvements and ensuring their clear benefits.
- Collaborating with architects to implement architectural standards.
- Leading technical design decisions and aligning with area architects.
- Taking a hands-on role in important technical initiatives and issues.
- Supporting new product development with POCs and technical designs.
- Researching new technologies and assessing their potential.
- Reviewing major changes to ensure they meet standards.
- Serving as a key technical point of contact, collaborating across the organization.
- Participating in technical interviews and providing feedback on people.
- Coaching & mentoring engineers.
- Participating in team ceremonies to stay updated on ongoing works.
- Leading technical trainings to share knowledge and improve expertise.
What you'll need:
- Experience designing and implementing distributed microservices (Docker, Kubernetes preferred).
- Deep understanding of real-time messaging patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ preferred).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Couchbase preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with observability practices for highly available systems (Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Experience coaching and mentoring people.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
