Payments - QA Tech Lead at Betsson Group

Betsson Group is seeking a QA Tech Lead to join their Payments Engineering team in Malta. This role is crucial for shaping the QA strategy and ensuring robust frameworks are implemented throughout the development lifecycle, with a keen focus on security and data integrity.

The QA Tech Lead will collaborate with Software Engineers and QA Engineers to improve security, reliability, and automation in the payments domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in security testing methodologies, proficiency with test automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and a strong understanding of data integrity validation and risk-based testing.

In this role, the candidate will be involved in:

• Developing a Payments-focused Test Strategy.
• Providing guidance on implementing different types of tests, particularly around security testing and data validation.
• Overseeing the quality of test automation code.
• Driving a Continuous Delivery approach.
• Leading investigations and root cause analyses for incidents.
• Acting as a subject matter expert on Payments testing.

Requirements include:

• Proven experience collaborating with QA and Software Engineers.
• Hands-on experience in security testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Strong experience using mocking frameworks like Moq or Mockito.
• Hands-on experience with testing using tools like RestAssured or Pact.
• Strong understanding of data integrity validation.
• Experience implementing performance testing strategies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and TeamCity.
• Expertise in testing microservice-based architectures.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
