Betsson Group is seeking a Platform DevOps Engineer to join its Product Development organization. The Product Development organization is global, with cross-functional teams spanning six Tech Hubs. The Platform Core team manages Infrastructure as Code for parts of Betsson's Core Platform Layer, providing a distributed runtime platform.
The Platform DevOps Engineer will be involved in:
- Working with cutting-edge technology enabling Cloud Journey.
- Building Infrastructure Platforms as self-service to developers.
- Continuously improving and developing platforms based on business needs.
- Analyzing, diagnosing, and solving issues of efficiency performance and scale.
- Managing Kafka Messaging Platform
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with experience with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE.
- Strong knowledge and experience of managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup, administration, and configuration of such service.
- Managing Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience working with cloud providers, with AWS as preference.
- Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure.
- Experience in using versioned source control to manage code changes.
- Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana.
- Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Powershell or similar.
- Experience in using and managing Linux distributions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL and DevOps principles.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Required to be on an On-call support schedule.
