Betsson Group is seeking a Tech Lead to join their Player Account Management (PAM) team. The ideal candidate will be a technically senior member, driving technical excellence in products and supporting managers in building engineering teams. This hands-on role involves researching new technologies, leading technical investigations, and developing POCs.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving technical excellence in stability, performance, code quality, and development efficiency.
  • Identifying and championing technical improvements for roadmap consideration.
  • Working closely with architects to ensure alignment and implementation of architectural standards.
  • Leading technical design decisions and ensuring alignment with area architect(s).
  • Taking a hands-on role with technical initiatives and issues.
  • Supporting new product development through POCs and technical designs.
  • Researching and assessing the potential application of new technologies.
  • Reviewing major changes to ensure standards are met.
  • Serving as a key technical point of contact for the area.
  • Participating in technical interviews, providing feedback, and coaching engineers.
  • Leading technical training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about building things with a strong technical background.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing distributed microservices (Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of real-time messaging patterns (Kafka and RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Couchbase).
  • Working experience with observability practices for highly available systems (Grafana and OpenTelemetry).
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring people.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Technical proficiency with .NET technology stack.
  • Experience with AWS (preferred).
  • Clear verbal & written communication.
