Security Prototype Engineer

Corelight is seeking a Security Prototype Engineer to contribute to the next generation of network security products. The engineer will work closely with product teams, engineering, and network security experts to explore, design, test, and build prototype solutions for challenging network security problems. Corelight is the fastest growing network detection and response platform in the industry. The company's customers trust it to protect mission-critical assets in leading enterprises, government, and research institutions worldwide.Role involves:

• Rapid prototyping, testing, and proof of concepts.
• Improving customer usability, deployment, and consumption of Corelight products.
• Developing new product ideas and features.
• Driving proof of concept ideas from inception through customer fielding and testing.
• Acting as an advocate for innovation within Corelight and its customer base.

Requirements:

• Strong appreciation for core values: low ego results, tireless service, and applied curiosity.
• 3+ years experience in rapid development across a full stack environment.
• Strong understanding of virtualization environments and orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Understanding of network security concepts.
• Customer centric communication skills.
