Betsson Group is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to manage complex database systems. The role involves working within a global technology ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple Tech Hubs. This position is based in Budapest and requires someone passionate about database engineering.
The Senior Database Engineer will be involved with:
- Working with cutting-edge technology.
- Building and managing Database hosting capabilities using Infrastructure as Code.
- Building Database Infrastructure Platforms with developers.
- Continuously improving, tuning, and optimizing Database platform capabilities.
- Analysing, diagnosing, and solving issues of efficiency and performance.
- Applying patches and updates and automate routine tasks through scripting.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proficiency in setting up and administering AWS database services.
- Expertise in managing PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Familiarity with cloud providers, especially AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to changing technologies.
- Ability to support and implement backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
