Senior Data Scientist at Betsson Group

Betsson Group is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their AI Centre of Excellence in Malta. This role is pivotal in understanding business problems, identifying appropriate AI/ML techniques, and developing solutions ready for production. The Senior Data Scientist will serve as a subject matter expert, lead AI projects, and promote AI awareness and adoption throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and understand business problems.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data to ensure its quality and reliability for building solutions.
• Prototype data science models.
• Use exploratory analysis methodologies to identify patterns and trends.
• Work with descriptive and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with the Machine Learning Engineer to implement and productionize models.
• Evaluate model performance and refine as needed.
• Present results and suggestions to relevant parties.
• Work with teams across different functions to implement data-driven solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Deep knowledge of Python and Machine/Deep Learning Frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, SciKit Learn, Tensorflow).
• Good Knowledge on Generative AI concepts and application
• Experience on developing Data Science Projects in complex environments
• Experience on developing Machine Learning and Deep Learning Models that can be productionized
• Good knowledge of AWS AI and Machine Learning Offering (SageMaker and BedRock).
