Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Vonage is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Infrastructure team in Wroclaw, Poland. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Vonage's global infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security. This role involves designing and building infrastructure and services using IaC techniques like Terraform and Chef, collaborating with development teams to oversee code releases, and participating in incident resolution.Responsibilities:

• Maintain Vonage's Global Infrastructure ensuring high availability.
• Design and build Infrastructure and Services using IaC techniques.
• Work with development teams to oversee code releases.
• Attend change meetings and ensure changes to production are understood.
• Engage in feature breakdown to ensure DevOps good practices.
• Attend team ceremonies.
• Follow best practice during implementation.
• Engage in learning opportunities to share DevOps good practices.
• Be present and engage in incident resolution.
• Contribute to post-mortem sessions.
• Be available for an on call rota.
• Identify efficiencies to streamline operations.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Solid understanding of AWS Cloud Architecture.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Chef, Terraform, and Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Config Management, ELK stack, Grafana, OpsGenie, Ruby and Powershell.
• Familiarity with software development fundamentals and best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD as well as Jenkins and Github Actions.
• Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code provisioning and configuration management.
• Monitoring and alerting experience.
• Ability to script to solve automation tasks.
• Willingness to work on on-call rota.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
