Senior Full Stack Engineer - Commercial Credit

Job Description

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the Commercial Credit team. This role involves independently identifying and delivering software solutions, owning projects related to quarterly goals, and collaborating with cross-functional partners. The Commercial Credit team focuses on maintaining the end-user and customer experience for Managed by Marqeta programs, developing solutions for seamless integration into the Marqeta ecosystem.Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing high-performance solutions for large-scale financial data and compliance.
• Developing software and infrastructure for efficient releases through automation.
• Debugging critical production issues across services and stack levels.
• Analyzing data, detecting patterns, and creating documentation for non-technical audiences.
• Diagnosing and resolving production issues across various services and system layers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java, service-oriented architectures, and cloud computing (AWS preferred).
• Experience developing in Java, Kotlin and Relational Database/SQL.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot.
• Experience with a front-end framework like React or Next.js and knowledge of CSS/HTML.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker.
• Knowledge of common design patterns in scalable distributed systems.
• Ability to develop clean, readable code with thorough documentation and testing.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
