Betsson Group is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their Sportsbook tech team in Malta. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of software development, from design to writing code and unit tests, as well as managing SQL and NoSQL databases. This role offers the opportunity to work on a world-leading, high-performance, high-availability, and high-throughput multi-brand betting platform.

The Sportsbook platform is developed in-house and supports a rapidly growing B2B product. The platform supports 10,000 different leagues and processes 500,000 to 600,000 bets on a single Saturday.

The candidate will collaborate with a team of over 150 agile professionals distributed across three locations, utilizing technologies such as Angular, Typescript, .NET Core, C#, and RabbitMQ.

Role Involves:

  • Participating in all aspects of software development
  • Designing, coding, and unit testing software
  • Managing SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Working on a high-performance, high-availability, multi-brand betting platform
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in .NET/C#
  • Experience with .NET Core WebAPI
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate and share knowledge effectively
