Job Description
Bauer Hockey is seeking a Temporary CAD Technician to join their team in Blainville, QC. This role is crucial for supporting product development activities through the creation of 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models. The Temporary CAD Technician will report to the Senior Developer and will work to ensure the Research and Development organization remains a value-added partner within Bauer Hockey. This is a temporary position lasting 9-12 months, requiring the candidate to be onsite three days a week.
Role involves:
- Designing and modeling new components using CAD equipment and techniques.
- Analyzing virtual models to meet engineering and design requirements.
- Collaborating with designers, developers, and engineers on innovative products.
- Recommending new CAD drafting and modeling techniques.
- Serving as an on-site expert on 3D printing technologies.
Requirements:
- Professional course in CAD or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of industry experience in design and/or manufacturing.
- Experience creating and using engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
- Experience with software like Creo, Autocad, Rhino, etc.
- Strong communication skills in French and English (written and verbal).
- Excellent time/project management skills.
- Detail-oriented with creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
