Senior Manager, Test Site Operations

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Manager for Test Site Operations at its NASA Stennis Space Center facility. This role involves overseeing all test infrastructure and operations, from rocket engine development to high-cadence production testing. The Senior Manager will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage projects and budgets, and ensure site safety and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a technical team for engine test operations.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Manage external contractors and suppliers.
• Improve test site infrastructure for multiple engine tests per day.
• Oversee site administration, supply chain, and logistics.
• Ensure team health and safety.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in Propulsion Engineering and/or Propulsion Test leadership.
• Demonstrated experience supporting high-paced technical projects.

Nice to have:

• Masters or PhD in an engineering discipline
• Direct experience with liquid natural gas or liquid methane as a rocket propellant
• Background of technical expertise in sub-component to full flight system testing
• Software development for data acquisition and control systems
• Working knowledge of complex IT systems associated with propulsion testing
