Software Engineer II- {Python/C++}

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Production Automation team. The Software Engineer II will collaborate with engineers to develop and support software applications for testing spacecraft components and systems. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, participating in test rig maintenance, and assisting with data evaluation.Role involves:

• Developing and enhancing software applications for functional testing.
• Setting up, maintaining, and improving test rigs.
• Partnering with stakeholders during development and production phases.
• Analyzing test data to support engineering teams.
• Addressing and resolving production automation software issues.
• Innovating and refining testing processes.
• Collaborating within a diverse team to solve aerospace challenges.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in software/electrical/mechatronics engineering or computer science.
• 2+ years' experience in software engineering.
• Experience with source control and issue trackers (e.g., Git, Jira, Redmine).
