Job Description
The Daily Beast, a dynamic online news publisher, is seeking an Ad Operations Manager to join their team in New York City. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week in their Chelsea office.This role involves:
  • Overseeing trafficking and QA for direct-sold and programmatic advertising campaigns using Google Ad Manager.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely campaign setup, targeting, pacing, and creative implementation.
  • Using Boostr (or comparable OMS/CRM platform) to manage orders, monitor delivery, and support Sales and Account Management in campaign execution.
  • Troubleshooting delivery and creative issues, and viewability problems using browser based debugging tools.
  • Working closely with SSPs and header bidding partners to ensure demand integrations are optimized and functioning correctly.
  • Enforcing ad quality standards and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Assisting in the evaluation and onboarding of new ad tech solutions and partners.
  • Creating and maintaining internal documentation and best practices.
Requirements include:
  • 3 years of hands-on Ad Operations experience at a publisher or media company.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ad Manager.
  • Experience with programmatic campaign setup and optimization across PMP, PG and PD deal types.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs, DSPs, Prebid, header bidding, and ad exchanges.
  • Familiarity with Boostr or similar order management systems.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and browser developer tools for ad QA.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and juggle multiple priorities in a lean team environment.
