Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Recruiting Manager, Early Talent, to lead its global early career team and recruiting efforts. This role involves owning strategic initiatives such as outreach, New Grad and Intern recruitment, talent mapping, and assessment. The Recruiting Manager will have the opportunity to innovate and scale as the company grows.
The role involves:
- Designing and implementing Whatnot’s early career recruiting strategy for engineering, data, operations, and GTM talent across the US and international hubs.
- Leading and growing a high-performing team of recruiters focused on early career hiring, while maintaining a hands-on approach to hiring.
- Building and scaling Early Talent programs across outreach, New Grad and Intern recruitment, talent mapping and assessment.
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key universities and academic programs worldwide.
- Implementing creative and scalable sourcing strategies to attract a diverse range of candidates from campuses across the country.
- Increasing brand awareness of Whatnot as a top destination for early career talent through virtual and in-person events, swag, and marketing.
- Collaborating with global engineering, business, and people leaders to drive hiring strategies and align with headcount planning.
- Managing budgets and allocating resources effectively across global recruiting initiatives.
- Developing standardized, data-driven metrics and KPIs to measure early career hiring success.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience leading Early Talent recruiting teams at high-growth companies.
- Experience hiring Early Talent across technical and non-technical roles.
- Experience building and leading high-performing recruiting teams.
- Experience building systems and scaling recruiting programs and processes.
- Ability to take ownership and move fast in a rapidly growing environment.
- Ability to craft standout candidate experiences.
- Data literacy and experience tracking metrics to guide team strategy and influence stakeholders.
- Must be within commuting distance of Whatnot's New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles hubs.
