Job Description
Fresh Prints, an NYC-based custom apparel company, is seeking a Retail Buyer to support its supply chain in the US. This role is a permanent work-from-home position based in China. The Retail Buyer will be a crucial member of the operations team, contributing to the company's growth by strengthening and expanding its global supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Price & Lead-Time Negotiation
- Product Development & Sampling
- Production & Order Management
- Logistics & Shipment Coordination
- Quality Control & Inspection
- Supplier Performance & Capacity Planning
- Market Research & Sourcing Strategy
- Factory Audits & Compliance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 3+ years working knowledge of the apparel industry
- Experience in strategic vendor management, especially with Asian vendors
- Fluent in English and Chinese
- Understanding of buying office, manufacturing principles, materials, production process, U.S. customs and International logistics and trade
- Excellent negotiation and organizational abilities
- Ability to balance sourcing requirements with technical and commercial business needs
- Self-directed with strong business acumen
- Must be residing in China
