Job Description
Intercom is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Customer Solutions Team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, the Senior Sales Engineer will engage with customers as a trusted advisor, playing a key role in defining and demonstrating value throughout the sales cycle. They will partner with Product, R&D, and Engineering to ensure customer needs are at the core of Intercom's AI-powered solutions.Role involves:
- Leading technical discovery to identify customer needs
- Delivering pre-sales experiences, articulating Intercom's value
- Conducting solution reviews and technical sessions
- Designing and leading Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Serving as the primary resource for RFPs and security questions
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering to represent the customer voice
- Continuously improving processes and building a Sales Engineering playbook
- Committing to customer success and addressing challenges
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role
- Experience managing C-Level technical and business relationships
- Strong technical acumen and experience in conducting technical discovery
- Ability to solve problems independently and thrive in collaborative environments
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic team environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate value proposition throughout the sales cycle
- Experience working with product and engineering teams
- Familiarity with managing POCs, RFPs, and addressing security questions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally
