Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Zscaler is seeking a talented Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their growing ML/AI team. This role involves working on innovative ML/AI projects addressing cybersecurity challenges within the world's largest security cloud. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of AI/ML systems, optimize existing pipelines, and experiment with advanced AI techniques. This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, CA, requiring 3 days a week in the office.About the CompanyZscaler's Engineering team built the world’s largest cloud security platform from the ground up. • Leading the design and development of cutting-edge AI/ML systems and pipelines.
• Optimizing existing machine learning pipelines for efficiency and scalability.
• Exploring and experimenting with advanced AI techniques for cybersecurity solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
• Ensuring systems meet reliability, scalability, and performance requirements.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Scientist.
• Strong proficiency in Algorithms, Game Theory and Optimization, Verification, ML libraries and frameworks.
• Extensive experience in data modeling, feature engineering, model development, and error analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
