Job Description
Payhawk is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to contribute to the development of the financial system of tomorrow. This role involves gathering information, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on established business and operational KPIs, offerings, and initiatives. The Senior BI Engineer will act as a trusted business advisor to internal departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain operational and product KPI definitions.
  • Support team members with clear documentation for metrics, dimensions, and KPIs.
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy through QA automation and reconciliation processes.
  • Build analytical and statistical data models for additional research and insights.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for reporting or data warehouse enhancements.
  • Train stakeholders on using BI tools for self-service.
  • Create data tools for business departments to optimize the product.
  • Contribute to the overall BI and data strategy.
  • Lead and manage complex, cross-functional BI projects.

Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong data analytical background.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools, preferably Tableau.
  • Experience defining requirements for Software or Data Engineers.
  • Experience designing and running SQL queries.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on business results and processes.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
