Job Description
Markforged is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive direct-led business growth by generating new revenue streams from new clients. The Strategic Account Manager will develop their own sales pipeline, craft strategic business transformation proposals, nurture strategic partnerships, and close large deals at the CxO level.Role involves:
  • Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Developing a sustainable sales pipeline through outbound initiatives.
  • Researching, drafting, and presenting business transformational proposals.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.
  • Qualifying prospects and moving opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Articulating and sharing Industry 4.0 insights.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Significant and proven experience in a business development role.
  • Experience in direct sales to C-level executives.
  • Past experience in high tech sales, such as 3D CAD Sales, Solidworks, Autodesk or Robots Automation is beneficial.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the design and manufacturing industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
