Corporate Counsel

AG1 is seeking a business-minded Corporate Counsel to join their Legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and advising on data privacy laws. This role reports to the Senior Corporate Counsel and collaborates with the global Legal team, serving clients across the company. The Corporate Counsel will embody AG1 values and adapt to changing priorities.

What this role involves:

• Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and interpreting commercial contracts.
• Providing in-house legal advice on data privacy laws.
• Working with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate risk.
• Optimizing the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system.
• Providing education and training on relevant legal issues.
• Developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional and management teams.
• Handling various demands and projects related to operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and in-house legal department.
• Extensive in-house experience advising on data privacy issues in connection with commercial contracts.
• Deep knowledge of global and domestic privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
• J.D. from ABA accredited program and active bar membership in any state.
• Significant experience negotiating, drafting, and solving issues for various types of commercial contracts.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and hyper-growth environment.
• Experience in advising on high-stakes business decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams.
