IT Support Engineer

Job Description

WPP is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their Enterprise Technology team in Taipei, Taiwan. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of technology services for WPP employees, agencies, and clients. The IT Support Engineer will report to the Enterprise Technology Operations Lead and collaborate with various teams within Enterprise Technology.

Role involves:

• Delivering on-site support services to WPP employees, agencies, and visiting clients.
• Providing on-site support to WPP agencies located in Taipei and potentially other locations with travel.
• Offering remote support to WPP agencies across the wider region.
• Ensuring IT deskside operations and standard technology services are delivered and supported.
• Developing excellent relationships with the business user base.
• Leading a customer-centered culture and empowering end users.
• Logging all IT engagements into a ticketing system.
• Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including user account administration and asset management.
• Handling Level 1 and 2 incident and problem management.
• Ensuring security procedures are followed.
• Managing and supporting user and office relocations.
• Compiling and maintaining a Service Desk knowledge base.
• Deploying hardware and software to end users.
• Managing IT asset procurement, inventory, and lifecycle.
• Supporting WPP Global in promoting global standards.
• Performing basic device troubleshooting and infra testing.

Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years in an IT help desk / desk side support role
• Strong cross-platform experience in Windows and Mac, along with working knowledge of AV technology
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Can-do attitude
• Ability to empathize and communicate effectively with end users
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and set priorities appropriately
• Ability to maintain professional demeanour under stress
