Job Description

WPP is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, India. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective and efficient everyday technology operations for WPP ET. The IT Support Engineer will be a trusted resource for handling level 1 and 2 issues, as well as assisting Infrastructure and Management personnel with project work.

The role reports to the Enterprise Technology Operations Lead and collaborates closely with other teams within Enterprise Technology. This is a 100% onsite role.

What this role involves:

  • Delivering on-site support services to WPP employees, agencies, and visiting clients.
  • Providing on-site support to WPP agencies located in Bangalore.
  • Offering remote support to WPP agencies across APAC.
  • Managing IT deskside operations and standard technology services, including meeting room AV.
  • Building excellent relationships with the business user base.
  • Logging all IT engagements into a ticketing system.
  • Onboarding and offboarding employees, including user account administration and asset management.
  • Handling level 1 and 2 incident and problem management.
  • Ensuring security procedures are followed.
  • Deploying hardware and software to end users.
  • Managing IT asset procurement, inventory, and lifecycle.
  • Supporting WPP Global in promoting global standards and ensuring local implementation.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years in an IT help desk / desk side support role
  • Strong cross-platform experience in Windows and Mac, along with working knowledge of AV technology
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Can-do attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage time effectively and set priorities appropriately
  • Able to maintain professional demeanour under stress
