Job Description
WPP is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join their team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient everyday operations of WPP IT, providing level 2 and 3 support to the IT Service Desk and assisting with project work as needed.
The Senior IT Support Engineer will report to the IT Service Lead in Melbourne and collaborate closely with other IT teams. They will be responsible for providing on-site and remote support to WPP agencies in Hong Kong, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and championing a customer-centered culture.
What this role involves:
- Providing on-site/remote support to WPP agencies in Hong Kong
- Ensuring IT deskside operations and standard technology services are delivered
- Developing relationships with internal stakeholders
- Leading a customer-centered culture and empowering end users
- Providing remote support to WPP agencies across Australia and New Zealand
- Managing user account administration and onboarding/offboarding processes
- Handling level 2 and 3 incident and problem management
- Managing simple user and office relocations
- Supervising and assisting with hardware and software deployments
- Maintaining Service Desk knowledge base and standard procedures
- Managing IT asset inventory and procurement
- Supporting WPP Global in promoting global standards and local implementation
- Supporting local IT compliance activities
- Owning escalation management and liaising with third-party suppliers
Requirements:
- 5+ years in an IT help desk / desk side support role
- Cross-platform experience in Windows and Mac
- Can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
- Ability to maintain professional demeanour under stress
