Job Description

ShipBob is seeking a Sr. People Generalist, Fulfillment Operations to join their team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role will be the main People Team representative within assigned ShipBob Innovation and Fulfillment Centers, providing full-cycle Human Resources support to all employees, managers, and regional directors. The Sr. People Generalist will work closely with business leaders to execute HR initiatives and strategies to guide organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, workforce planning, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience. SHRM or SPHR certification is preferred, as well as a solid understanding of labor laws and prior experience working in a fulfillment center, warehouse, or manufacturing facility.

What this role involves:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for employees to resolve issues and conduct investigations.
  • Maintaining accurate human resource records and documentation.
  • Training, coaching, and counseling managers on people matters.
  • Partnering with a 3rd party staffing agency on-site representative.
  • Participating in recruiting events and career fairs.
  • Facilitating new hire onboarding training.
  • Participating in ShipBob Culture Committee and supporting Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Planning and coordinating employee retention efforts.
  • Hosting employee office hours.
  • Facilitating the smooth exit of employees.
  • Tracking employee attendance and managing disciplinary write-ups.
  • Providing support and communication to employees regarding new People Team initiatives and programs.
  • Presenting at site town halls and start-up meetings.
  • Monitoring and communicating key people metrics monthly with site leadership.
  • Administering employee satisfaction surveys.
  • Providing training and resources to the onsite Leadership team.
  • Partnering with operations on workers comp and return to work processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • SHRM or SPHR Certification.
  • Solid understanding of Labor related laws and statutes.
  • Prior experience working in a fulfillment center, warehouse, or manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to understand and interpret data.
