Job Description
BEAM is seeking an experienced educator to join their Summer Away program as Senior Faculty. This role involves teaching engaging math classes to middle schoolers, mentoring junior faculty, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The Senior Faculty member will design and adapt curriculum, facilitate collaboration spaces, and support student learning and growth.
Responsibilities include:
  • Designing and teaching math courses for middle schoolers.
  • Tailoring curriculum to deepen student engagement.
  • Facilitating collaboration spaces for faculty improvement.
  • Mentoring a Junior Faculty member.
  • Maintaining a positive camp environment.
  • Supporting student learning and community building.
  • Attending staff meetings and pre-camp training.
Requirements:
  • Curriculum design experience.
  • 5+ years of classroom leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of coaching or mentorship experience.
  • A commitment to equity.
  • Familiarity with Math/STEM Topics.
  • Growth Mindset.
  • Effective Communication.
  • Ability to work on-site in NYC or LA.
  • Authorization to work in the US.
