SOC Analyst

Job Description

SonicWall, a cybersecurity company with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a SOC Analyst to join their team. This is a remote position based in Ireland. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and escalating alerts and events to protect sensitive information from cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

• Provide security monitoring and incident response of cyber security events.
• Monitor and analyze logs and alerts to identify actionable security incidents.
• Provide proactive “threat hunting” to detect incidents.
• Provide Incident Response support when analysis confirms actionable incident.
• Respond to SOC cybersecurity tickets that are sent or replied to by partners.
• Investigate, document, and report on SOC tickets.
• Escalate issues or tickets as deemed necessary.
• Stay up to date on the latest emerging threats and tactics.

Requirements:

• Experience in security monitoring and incident response.
• Ability to analyze logs and alerts to identify security incidents.
• Experience with threat hunting.
• Incident Response experience.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Please note: This role is for the night shift within the EMEA SOC, which runs from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 PM to 04:30 AM.
