Job Description
Nubank is seeking a RAS Controllership Specialist to join its Controllership Chapter in Mexico City. This role involves producing reliable accounting and finance information, supporting company growth, and focusing on data and analytics. The specialist will be responsible for bringing together Nubank’s financial data, monitoring it, and ensuring accurate accounting in the systems. They will also handle regulatory and financial reports, cash management, and financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze products and regulations in the Mexican market.
- Analyze financial events and data for new products and features.
- Build reports and reconciliations for financial regulatory reports.
- Coordinate activities for internal and external audits.
- Research technical accounting matters and assess the impact of new regulations.
- Manage cross-functional activities with various teams.
- Collaborate on data architecture for process automation.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in financial institutions.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (NIF, IFRS).
- Experience with CNBV and BANXICO regulatory reports.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge (Nice to have).
- SQL/Scala knowledge (Nice to have).
- Advanced English level.
