Job Description
Tailscale is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of their software across various platforms. The QA Engineer will work closely with the engineering team to maintain test plan coverage, execute test plans, and track issues to ensure smooth releases. Tailscale is a fully distributed company that builds software to securely interconnect people and their devices.
Role involves:
- Ensuring test plan coverage for new and existing features.
- Executing test plans before client releases.
- Tracking issues and resolutions with engineers.
- Designing and executing test plans across multiple platforms.
- Assisting with test automation.
- Collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
- Proactively testing existing features.
- Tracking release blockers.
- Triaging incoming issues.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience testing applications across Windows, macOS, iOS, tvOS, Android, and Linux.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
