Job Description
Box is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join their team in New York. This role involves working closely with Account Executives and the Marketing department to manage leads and attract clients. The Sales Development Representative will play a crucial role in the company, receiving the necessary tools, training, mentorship, and leadership to collaborate with companies and identify their challenges, demonstrating how Box can help solve them.

What this role involves:
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for new customers via sales channels.
  • Engaging with potential clients through calls, emails, and marketing efforts.
  • Negotiating and closing contracts for deals valued at less than $5,000 ARR.
  • Fostering connections with a wide range of clientele and encouraging discussions about Box solutions.
  • Demonstrating attentive listening skills to understand customer requirements.
  • Meeting established quota targets for territorial revenue growth consistently.
  • Adhering to Box’s standards when using the Salesforce system.
  • Occasionally closing deals with smaller organizations.

Requirements:
  • Strong interest in transitioning to a role in outbound sales.
  • Team-centric mindset and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in engaging with customers and resolving challenges effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to identify potential customer opportunities.
  • Previous experience in a lead generation role or sales (preferred).
  • Track record of success in a performance-driven role focused on meeting specific metrics (preferred).
