Job Description
YouGov is seeking a Deputy Chief Accountant to join their Shopper finance team in Poland. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations, ensure reporting accuracy, and optimize accounting processes.Role involves:
  • Running accounting books.
  • Performing monthly and yearly closing (AR, AP, GL, FA).
  • Supporting and overseeing the SSC in India.
  • Participating in management report preparation with variance analysis and audit schedule.
  • Participating in Statutory Financial Statement preparation.
  • Preparing VAT declarations for the Polish legal entity.
  • Preparing GUS reports.
  • Calculating CIT for the Polish legal entity.
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Liaising with external parties (auditors, tax consultants, bankers, lawyers, government authorities).
  • Identifying risk areas and recommending solutions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics.
  • At least 5 years of working experience as an independent Accountant.
  • Experience with cooperation with a finance shared service center.
  • Good knowledge of Polish taxation rules (VAT, CIT, WHT).
  • Advanced SAP knowledge.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate in MS Excel and Word; Tagetik is preferable.
  • Very good English (writing and speaking) for daily cooperation with SSC in India.
