Senior/Lead Data Scientist, Data Integrity

Job Description

YouGov is seeking a Senior/Lead Data Scientist to ensure the integrity of its research data. The role involves developing strategies to detect and prevent research fraud, communicating results to stakeholders, and leading investigations into suspected fraud cases.

The Data Scientist will work independently on complex research projects, utilizing analytical, communication, and project management skills. They will collaborate with the existing data science team and coordinate with senior stakeholders to understand project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop statistical models to detect, prevent, and respond to research fraud.
• Lead investigations into suspected cases of research fraud.
• Communicate results through white papers, reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the data science team.

Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD in data science, statistics, or related field.
• Experience with statistical methods (regression, causal inference, machine learning, etc.).
• Experience performing statistical analyses on large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong communication skills.
