Job Description

Twitch is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their Community Discovery & Engagement team. This role focuses on building and maintaining features that help communities form, grow, and thrive on the Twitch platform. The SDE will work on both web and mobile surfaces, contributing to features like Stream Together, Shared Chat, and Whispers.

The ideal candidate will be a full-stack developer with a strong emphasis on front-end and mobile development. They will collaborate with product managers, designers, and data analysts to deliver solutions that enable viewers to connect and streamers to achieve their goals.

This position is available in San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; New York, NY; or Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities:

• Work with product managers, technical leads, and other engineers to design, develop, launch, and operate interactive experiences and products
• Deliver high quality user experiences on both Web and Mobile surfaces.
• Collaborate with both your team and related teams - fostering shared understanding of how to solve problems and deliver solutions
• Work backwards from customer problems to drive business impact

Requirements:

• 1+ Years experience developing software in a professional environment
• Prior experience building consumer-facing products at scale
• Proficient coding skills in modern languages and frameworks such as React, Swift, Objective-C
• Proven ability with thinking though and delivering quality user experiences.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
