Working Student - Systems Engineering (m/f/d)

Job Description

Isar Aerospace is seeking a motivated Working Student to support the CTO Office in planning and implementing model-based systems engineering tools for the design of Spectrum launch vehicles. This role involves contributing to the architectural design of current and future Spectrum versions, conceptualizing and implementing a model-based systems engineering tool, developing models of various systems, validating models, and supporting the development of the full design tool. The working student will also execute sensitivity studies to support trade-off decisions and assist with defining and implementing system requirements.

• Support the CTO Office in architectural design activities.
• Conceptualize, design, and implement a model-based systems engineering tool.
• Develop models of propulsion, fluids, structures, avionics, and guidance systems.
• Validate the representativity of stand-alone models.
• Contribute to the development and validation of the full design tool.
• Execute sensitivity studies to support trade-off decisions.
• Support the CTO Office with the definition and implementation of system requirements.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled at university.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience in Python.
• Experience in model-based systems engineering and multi-disciplinary optimization principles.
• Excellent organization skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• “Can do” mentality and positive attitude.
• Excited about working in an international environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
